Kevin Wicke

About

Kevin Wicke’s love for drag racing started as a young boy. At the age of 17, he began street racing against his brother in Amulree, outside of Stratford, Ontario. His drive, determination, and passion for racing fueled Kevin’s long hours in building his successful speed shop 35 years ago, now known as K&K Racing and Performance.

Kevin would thrash until the wee hours of the week, building his business, working on his car, and then packing up and participating in as many races as possible. This ethic led to his very successful career in business and racing.

His record speaks for itself, over the past 45 years, Kevin has won numerous events across North America, including:

• IHRA National Event in Grand Bend, Ontario in 2006

• IHRA National Event in Martin, Michigan in 2006

• IHRA National Event in Martin, Michigan in 2007

• Canadian Top Sportsman Championship winner in 2006 and 2007

• NAPA Quick 32 Sportsman Series Championship Series Champion in 2009 and 2010

He has driven a Plymouth Barracuda (Short Temper), Plymouth Arrow (Pappy’s Toy), Chevrolet Camaro (Jurky Boyz), a 1992 LaBaron with a full Chrome Moly Chassis, and now competes with a 2006 Dodge Stratus. He has gone from running the quarter-mile in the 16-second range in his early years, to today’s sub-seven-second runs.
